Shotgun events also get underway as Sheryasi Singh, Prithviraj Tondaiman and Rajeshwari Kumari compete in the qualification rounds of the Trap event.
Outside the Chateauroux Shooting Centre, the Indian men’s hockey team and shuttlers will also be in action in the round-robin stages. India takes on Ireland, while the pairings of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty as well as Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto play their final pool matches.

Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh will lock horns with South Korea’s Oh Ye-jin and Wonhoo Lee in the 10 m Air Pistol Mixed Team bronze medal match. It will make for a tough fight as both women have bagged medals in the Individual competition, a testament to their form.
Lee, meanwhile, also finished fourth in the Men’s Individual competition, The Indian duo, however, combined better in the Team event qualification. They ranked at No. 3 with a score of 580, just one point ahead of Lee and Oh’ 579. A tough fight awaits Bhaker and Singh, but they definitely have the spark needed to add another medal to India’s tally.
