Paris Olympics 2024 Shooting: Maheshwari Chauhan and Anantjeet Singh Naruka qualify for bronze medal playoff in skeet mixed team event

The Indian duo of Maheshwari Chauhan and Anantjeet Singh Naruka have qualified for the bronze medal playoff match in the skeet mixed team event at the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 after finishing in the fourth position in the qualification round on Monday, August 5.

The skeet shooting pair of Chauhan and Naruka, both hailing from Rajasthan, will face Jiang Yiting and Lyu Jianlin of China in the bronze medal playoff match for the skeet mixed team event from 6:30pm IST.

Chauhan and Naruka would be pleased with their performance in the skeet mixed team qualification round. 28-year-old Maheshwari Chauhan, a former Asian Championship bronze medalist, shot 24, 25, 25 in the three rounds, while her compatriot Anantjeet Singh Naruka, an Asian Games silver and bronze medalist himself, shot 25, 23, 24. India finished the qualification round with an aggregate score of 146, securing the fourth position behind China.

Meanwhile, the USA and Italy managed to secure the top two positions and will fight it out for the gold medal in the skeet mixed team event in the Paris Olympics 2024.
