Mandeep Kaur is an Indian para-badminton player who is currently ranked world number one. She has qualified for the Paris 2024 Paralympics and is competing in the women's singles SL3, women's doubles and mixed doubles categories.
Kaur began her para-badminton career after overcoming significant challenges, including losing her right leg to Polio as a child. She is currently training under the guidance of Gaurav Khanna a Dronacharya Award winner at the Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University in Lucknow and is supported by the Wilspun Foundation.
Kaur was an arm wrestler before she switched to para-badminton in 2018. It was 2020 Paralympic bronze medalist Manoj Sarkar who introduced her to badminton. She was a three-time gold medalist at the national level in arm wrestling.
Mandeep Kaur's outstanding career in para-badminton is marked by numerous national and international achievements. She holds over 14 medals with multiple titles at the National level and 33 medals at the global level.
