Priyanka Goswami made headlines by winning the 20km Indian Racewalking Championship in February 2021. She finished the race with a new Indian record of 1:28.45. With this performance, she also cemented her place for the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Priyanka is also an entry from India in the Paris Olympics 2024 for the individual 20km race walk and pair race walk event. However, she finished 41st from a field of 45 in the individual event and bowed out of the tournament.
Born in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India, Priyanka was always interested in running. Her primary reason for her inclination towards running was due to the attractive prices that competitors get who are part of the event. Priyanka got attracted to Gymnastics in the sixth standard, and she started as a gymnast.
However, it was in 2011, that Priyanka switched to racewalking, knowing her stamina in the long run. Since then, she has won over 60 medals in the junior, senior, and national levels. Priyanka's early training and her coach have been a huge help in carving her career.
Paris Olympics 2024 was her second participation in the Olympics. At the Tokyo event, Priyanka finished in the 17th position in the 20km race walking event.

Priyanka Goswami and Suraj Panwar will represent India in the marathon mixed relay event at at the Summer Olympics 2024. The event will make its debut at the Games in this edition.
The marathon mixed relay event will have a pair of race walkers. The duo will have to cover a total distance of 42.195 kilometers in the race. The male athlete will start the race covering 12.195 km. The remaining 30 km will be covered in three laps, out of which the first lap will be covered by the female runner, and the other two will be alternatively distributed.
