Paris Olympics 2024 is all set to begin with the grand opening ceremony, scheduled for Friday, July 26. Multiple celebrities will be seen at the opening ceremony and some of the biggest global stars will perform in the evening.
Some of the stars seen on the stage at the showpiece event will be Celine Dion and Lady Gaga. The two legendary singers will be seen singing a duet to Edith Piaf’s “La Vie En Rose.”
Dion will be seen on the stage after more than a year. She has not performed live since her diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome in December 2022. The combination of Celine Dion and Lady Gaga will be the highlight of the evening.
Another highlight of the Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony will be the live performance by the Metal Band Gojira. Gojira is a French-based metal-rock band that was known as Godzilla till 2001. The band has become the first metal rock band to perform at the Olympic opening ceremony. It is a historic moment for the band and for the metal-rock music.
Other celebrities that will be seen during the Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony are Snoop Dogg and Salma Hayek. They will be lighting the Olympic Torch. Juliette Armanet and Sofiane Pamart are expected to sing "Imagine" by John Lennon.
Aya Nakamura, the famous French-Malian singer, will be seen singing two classics by Charles Aznavour — “For Me Formidable” and “La Bohème."
