It turned out to be a forgettable WTT Contender Tunis 2024 as none of the Indian paddlers managed to secure a title. On the sixth and final day of the campaign, Indian women's doubles pair of Yashaswini Ghorpade and Diya Parag suffered a loss in the final.
The Indian duo locked horns with Satsuki Odo and Sakura Yokoi from Japan in the grand finale but couldn’t make an impact as they suffered a 0-3 (9-11, 8-11, 3-11) loss. With this, the Indian contingent finished without a title win across all events.
On Saturday, June 29, Yashaswini Ghorpade and Diya Parag bagged a win over South Korea's Kim Seong-jin and Yoo Siwoo by an 12-14, 11-2, 11-8 and 11-6 margin to advance to the final of the WTT Contender Tunis 2024.

In the quarter-final, the Indian women’s pair defeated compatriots Ayhika Mukherjee and Sreeja Akula 11-5, 11-9, 11-13, and 11-8. In the pre-quarter-final affair, they secured a win over Balkis Suissi and Maram Zoghlami by an 11-3, 11-3, and 11-5 margin.
Unfortunately, in other events of the competition, Indian paddlers had unimpressive results as none made it to the finals in the men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
In the men's singles, Paris-bound paddlers Manav Thakkar, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, and Sharath Kamal exited the WTT Contender Tunis 2024 after their poor performances in the pre-quarter-finals.
Sreeja Akula, who secured singles and doubles titles in the WTT Contender Lagos, got eliminated from the first round of the Tunis competition, making it the first setback of the campaign.
Diya Parag, Manika Batra, and Yashaswini Ghorpade also failed to create an impact in the women's singles section as they bowed out from the pre-quarter-finals.
In the men's doubles and mixed doubles, the Indian pairs of Sathiyan Gnanasekaran - Harmeet Desai and Sharath Kamal - Manav Thakkar got eliminated from the quarter-finals.
In the mixed doubles, Diya Parag - Manush Shah and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran - Sreeja Akula put up a forgettable show, moving out from the campaign in the semi-finals.
