WTT Contender Tunisia 2024: Preview, dates, events, and prize money

The WTT Contender Tunisia 2024 will be held in Tunisia, from Tuesday, June 25, 2024, to Sunday, June 30, 2024. The WTT Contender is a part of the WTT series that is split into three tiers. WTT Contender is the final tier where professional players throughout the world rankings take part. It comprises 14 events per year that last up to four days each.

There are nine WTT Contender events this year with the Tunisia edition being the seventh of them all. The previous event was recently concluded in Lagos.

The Tunisia edition will have four sessions across two qualifying days, with two sessions to be held on each day. A total of 11 sessions will be held, with seven sessions being played across the main days (June 27 to 30, 2024). It will include men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. The draws for the events are yet to take place.

A prize money of USD 80,000 has been announced for the event that will be conducted at the Salle Omnisport de Rades in Tunis, Tunisia. Top players from across countries (based on world rankings) are set to take part in the tournament.

Tomozaku Harimoto (Japan), Hina Hayata (Japan), Orawan Paranang (Thailand), Suthasini Sawettabut (Thailand) are other several Olympics-bound players from across countries in this event.

Indian table tennis players bound for the Paris 2024 Olympics such as Sharath Kamal, Manav Thakkar, Harmeet Desai, Manika Batra, Sreeja Akula, Ayhika Mukherjee, Archana Girish Kamath, and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran are set to be a part of this tournament.
