India's men's doubles pair of Harmeet Desai and Soumyajit Ghosh went down 4-11, 4-11, 11-8, 4-11 to fourth seeded Kwan Kit and Lam Siu Hang of Hong Kong in the final of the GAC Group ITTF World Tour Australian Open table tennis tournament here on Saturday.
However, it was a great run by the third seeded Indian pair who defeated Robin Devos and Cedric Nuytinck of Belgium 14-12, 7-11, 5-11, 11-9, 11-9 in the semi-finals.
Last month, the Indian pair had reached the semi-finals in the doubles event of the Phlippines Open. In singles, both Harmeet Desai and Soumyajit lost in the pre-quarterfinals.
