India's cadet paddlers strike gold in El Salvador

New Delhi - India’s junior paddlers won both the cadet boys and girls team titles at the El Salvador Junior and Cadet Open Table Tennis championships.

According to information reaching here, the boy’s A squad, comprising Anirban Ghosh and Birdie Boro, defeated India B, comprising Arjun Ghosh and Lalrin Puia, 3-0 to claim the title yesterday.

In the cadet girls section, India A, comprising, Sagarika Mukherjee and Harsha Vardhini Ravichandran, downed India B team 3-0 in the final. India B comprised Aishwarya Pathak and Moumita Dutta.

The Indians after their gold medal-winning performances at the Guatemala events, travelled to neighbouring El Salvador to compete against Argentina, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Ecuador.

Keeping their top billing intact, India A and India B teams in both the cadet boys and cadet girls sections proved to be a cut above the rest in the fray.
