On Friday, August 30, U Mumba TT and Chennai Lions met in the 12th tie of the Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) 2024 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Dabang Delhi T.T.C and Puneri Paltan Table Tennis locked horns in the following game.
U Mumba TT edged out Chennai Lions 8-7. Quadri Aruna started with a 2-1 win over Jules Rolland, while Sakura Mori gave Chennai a point by dominating Sutirtha Mukherjee 3-0. Manav Thakkar and Maria Xiao secured a crucial mixed doubles win 3-0, followed by Manav's victory over Sharath Kamal. Although Maria Xiao lost to Mouma Das, U Mumba held on for the win.
In the following game, Dabang Delhi T.T.C. secured a dominant 11-4 win over Puneri Paltan Table Tennis. Sathiyan Gnanasekaran led the charge with a 3-0 sweep against Joao Monteiro. Orawan Paranang followed with a 2-1 victory over Natalia Bajor.

The duo of Sathiyan and Paranang continued the momentum, winning the mixed doubles in three consecutive sets. Although Andreas Levenko lost to Ankur Bhattacharjee 3-0, Diya Chitale closed out the tie with a 3-0 win against Ayhika Mukherjee.
On that note let’s take a look at how the points table fared after the U Mumba and Dabang Delhi’s victory.
Dabang Delhi T.T.C. secured their second win in the fourth tie against Puneri Paltan 11-4. They climbed from third to first position with 33 points. Bengaluru Smashers slipped to the second position with 32 points from 12 match wins. Meanwhile, U Mumba, with 29 points, moved from fourth to third after claiming second win in four ties.
Ahmedabad SG Pipers descended from second to fourth while Goa Challengers and Jaipur Patriots remained fifth and sixth, respectively. However, Chennai Lions and Puneri Paltan switched their positions to finish in the last two spots with 19 points each.
