Mumbai - Payal Bohra outplayed Manasi Chiplunkar 4-2 in a thrilling sub-junior girls singles final, while boys’ top seed Vedant Shah had to fight all the way before beating Harsh Mehta to capture the men’s title in the JVPGC-All Mumbai 4-star ranking table tennis tournament here on Saturday.
Payal’s tactical display unsettled Manasi as she regularly kept earning winners with her forehand which saw her win the title with a 10-12, 11-9, 11-6, 22-0, 6-11, 12-10 scoreline. Vedant on the other hand triumphed 9-11, 11-9, 6-11, 11-5, 11-6, 11-9 at the Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana.
