The unique story of a man from Egypt with no hands. Ibrahim Hamato was invited as an honour guest of the ITTF President Adham Sharara to visit and enjoy the ZEN-NOH 2014 World Team Table Tennis Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

“I had an accident when I was 10 years old, but I loved table tennis,” he told the International Table Tennis Federation. “Three years after my accident I wanted to play again holding the racket under my arm, but it didn’t work out.”

Hamato, who hails from Egypt, has taught himself to hold the paddle in his mouth and play against the best in the game.

“He play really good,” world No.9 Jun Mizutani of Japan told reporters after his match against Hamato. “I can’t believe he plays with his mouth.”
