Moses Moody is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Golden State Warriors of the NBA. Moody played high school basketball at Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School, where he helped his team reach the championship game in his freshman season. In his sophomore season, Moody transferred to North Little Rock High School in North Little Rock, Arkansas where he further developed his game. He averaged 18.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.4 blocks. Moody has developed into a two-way player who was a load to deal with on both ends.

Soon after, Moody transferred to Montverde Academy, Florida, to gain more recognition from scouts as he prepped to move to his college career. In his senior season, Moody averaged 11.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists for the consensus number-one team in the nation which finished the regular season with a 25-0 record. Moody was a consensus four-star recruit and committed to Arkansas.

Moody played only one season for Arkansas and recorded a career-high 28 points four times for the Razorbacks. As a freshman, he averaged 16.8 points and 5.8 rebounds. For his efforts, Moody earned SEC Freshman of the Year and First Team All-SEC honors. After helping the Razorbacks to a 25-7 record and an Elite Eight appearance, Moody declared for the 2021 NBA draft, foregoing his final 3 years of college eligibility.

Moody was drafted as the 14th overall pick by the Golden State Warriors in the 2021 NBA draft. Moody hardly saw any playing time in his rookie as the team was stacked with veterans such as Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. In his first season, however, Moody won an NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors. Moody remains a key cog for the Golden State Warriors and is often called up to make key defensive stops and shots for coach Kerr.

Moses Moody Salary

For the 2023-24 NBA season, Moody is making $3.91 million. Since this is Moody’s third year in the NBA, he is still on the rookie contract he signed when he got drafted with the Golden State Warriors. Moody signed a 4-year $17 million deal which entails him to an average salary of $4.25 million.

Moody is up for a contract extension next season and it must irk him that his playing time is very sporadic. But in a team that is as stacked as the Golden State Warriors, it is hard to get playing time. Hopefully, Moody can find his role and place on the team.
