Roman Reigns is one of the biggest names in the wrestling world. Once moved away from the programming due to a medical condition, the WWE whiz gives off an impression of being as solid as could be expected. In any case, there are fans who are concerned and contemplating whether the Big Dog actually has the destructive sickness, or on the other hand, if has he made a total recuperation. After undergoing treatment, Reigns achieved remission and returned to the WWE ring in 2019. Reigns has used his platform to raise awareness about CML, dispel misconceptions, and inspire others.

He has openly discussed the physical and emotional challenges he has faced, while also sharing his victories and resilience. Reigns' story offers hope and encouragement to CML patients and their loved ones. His journey highlights the importance of early diagnosis, effective treatment options, and the power of perseverance. Talking about his current health, with the shape he is in this moment and the exhibition he keeps on placing in, we can expect that he is in a greatly improved state than the one that constrained him to give up the title that he later held for about four years.

Roman Reigns has become a symbol of hope and resilience for individuals battling chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). His public journey with the disease has shed light on the challenges and triumphs faced by CML patients. In 2018, Reigns publicly revealed his CML diagnosis, sending shockwaves through the sporting world.

The public declaration of Roman Reigns in 2018 was not the first time he was confronted with the disease. He originally faced the illness when he was 22 years old. As a matter of fact, his first medical analysis prompted him to stop football and move into wrestling. He was endorsed by the Minnesota Vikings as a free individual in 2007. Notwithstanding, his fantasies were quickly broken during the team physical when he took in the insight about his malignant growth.

He moved back to Florida to accompany his family and in the long run, abandoned the National Football League prior to joining the WWE in 2010. He confronted a comparative circumstance indeed. But this time, he had the option to face it and go into a reduction as opposed to being compelled to stop another profession that was very close to him.

Does Roman Reigns still have Leukemia?

Roman Reigns' Leukemia is still in remission, as he revealed in April 2024. While Reigns is in much better health than he previously was, he may have to be on medication for his entire life. The Tribal Chief shared the details of his health at the WrestleMania XL Press Conference.

“I’m still on oral chemotherapy, it’s a medication that I’m going to have to remain on my entire life most likely. It’s just a part of my personal battle. It doesn’t affect me, thank God, I’m still able to perform. I think anybody in my position would say health is wealth. As long as I continue to perform, you already know that’s at bay. We’re good. We’re still in remission. It is something that is still part of my life,

Roman Reigns Leukemia Timeline

Roman Reigns was first diagnosed with Leukemia in 2007. He was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), while still playing for Minnesota Vikings. The next year, Reigns entered remission after undergoing treatment and also left football for professional wrestling. He signed up for WWE in 2010 and made his main roster debut as a member of The Shield in 2012.

Years passed and Reigns became one of the most successful wrestlers on the WWE roster. Towards the end of 2018, he was a WWE Grand Slam Champion, had headlined WrestleMania four times in a row, had defeated The Undertaker at the event, was a Royal Rumble winner, and a Sole Survivor as well. However, in 2018, while he was still the Universal Champion, Reigns announced that his leukemia had returned and went on an indefinite hiatus from WWE to focus on treatment.

Fortunately enough, his time away from WWE was not very long, as he returned just in time for WrestleMania 35. Since then, Reigns has continued where he left. When COVID-19 forced WWE to operate behind closed doors, Reigns decided to move away from the programming due to his prior health conditions. However, after he joined, Reigns took things to another level with his exceptional run as the Tribal Chief. In April 2024, Reigns revealed that he is still on oral medications and will probably always be.
