Argentina national football team represents Argentina in men's international football. It is controlled by the Argentine Football Association. La Selección played their first international game against Uruguay in 1902. Since then the Argentina football team has been considered as one of major favorites to win any international competition that they take place in. La Selección have already appeared in five world cup finals and have won two of them in 1978 and 1986. They have also won the Copa America cup for a whopping 15 times which certainly made them one of the best teams in the world.
The current Argentina football team is coached by Lionel Scaloni and the squad is lead by Lionel Messi who has been the captian and also the main man of the team for quite a long time. Argentina football team will go into the Qatar World Cup 2022 with great confidence after their current squad recently tasted success in the Copa America tournament.
