Curt Hawkins: A Brief Biography
Brian Myers is an American professional wrestler, and promoter signed with Impact Wrestling. He is best known for his work with WWE as Curt Hawkins. He is a former Tag Team Champion.
Professional Wrestling Career
WWE (2006-2014)
Before joining WWE, he won the tag championships twice with Matt Cardona at New York Wrestling Connection. After signing with WWE, he spent his early years in FCW and ECW. In June, they were drafted to SmackDown. Cardona and Myers joined Edge and Chavo Guerrero to form La Familia.
The stable dominated SmackDown in 2008. Ryder interfered when Edge faced The Undertaker at WrestleMania 24. After Mania, Ryder and Myers won the WWE Tag Team Championship from Miz and Morrison at The Great American Bash. They lost the titles to The Colons on SmackDown.
After splitting up with Ryder, Myers went to FCW and won the FCW Tag Team Championship. Later, he returned to the main roster where he formed a tag team with Vance Archer and Tyler Rex. However, both the teams failed to make an impact and Myers left the company in 2014.
Independent Circuit (2014-2016)
Myers spent the next years on the independent circuit and wrestled for various promotions, such as JCW, PWG, PWS, FBW, GFW, and TNA, before returning to WWE.
WWE (2016-2020)
In 2016, Hawkins returned to SmackDown. Later, he was drafted to RAW, where he spent the next two years building a losing streak. In 2019, Hawkins turned face and reunited with Zack Ryder. At WrestleMania 35, Hawkins and Ryder defeated The Revival to win the RAW Tag Team Championship. A month later, they lost the titles back to The Revival. They spent the rest of the year in the tag team division before being released in 2020.
Impact Wrestling (2020-Present)
In August, Myers returned to Impact Wrestling. He began wrestling top stars and challenged champions, but failed to win. At Victory Road, Myers defeated Tommy Dreamer. After a while, he feuded with Matt Cardona and lost. In 2021, he created a stable called The Learning Tree. In 2022, Myers ended the stable.
