Californian Venus Williams entered the tennis scene in the year 1994. She has 49 career titles to her credit, including 7 Grand Slam Titles: 5 Wimbledon and 2 US Open. Though she made it to the finals of most championships, she consistently lost the title to her sister, Serena Williams. So far, the sisters have locked horns in court for a total of 9 times out of which Serena Williams 7 matches. She was off the court for a while due to injuries and could have won more titles if not for them.
Between 2000 and 2001, she won 4 of her 7 Grand Slam victories, performing extremely well. In 2002, she became the world number one. After a series of injuries and surgery, she bounced back into the scene in 2014 with being ranked 47. She has managed to stay in the top ten since.
