#5 Oldest player to be ranked No. 1
Fresh off winning a record-equaling 6th title at the Australian Open, the then 36-year-old Federer produced a title run in Rotterdam to become the oldest player to be ranked No. 1 in the ATP rankings.
Federer would go on to produce his best ever start to a season (17-0) before squandering championship points in a defeat to Juan Martin del Potro in the Indian Wells final.
#6 Second player to win 100 singles titles
After capturing his 99th single's title at his hometown tournament of Basel in 2018, Federer ended his wait for a 100th title in his fourth attempt as he beat young Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas at Dubai 2019 to lift his 8th title in the desert.
In the process, Federer became the first player after Jimmy Connors (109) to win 100 career singles titles.
