Breaking records has become a habit for Novak Djokovic. Despite some lofty milestones set by his predecessors, he has managed to surpass their achievements, or match them at the very least.

The Serb managed to accomplish one of his most-cherished goals in 2024. He was finally able to secure an Olympic gold, and he did it by beating Carlos Alcaraz, who had just won the French Open, in the championship match. He became the third player, after Andre Agassi and Rafael Nadal, to have won all four Majors and the gold medal.

With the 2025 season set to begin, Djokovic has the opportunity to rewrite history yet again. Here are three records that he could achieve in the coming season that will further cement his status as the all-time great of the sport:

#3 - Novak Djokovic could become the third man to win 100 career titles

The Brisbane International will be Djokovic's first tournament of the 2025 season. Winning it would mean he could complete a century of titles, making him the third man to achieve this feat in the Open Era. The Olympic gold medal was his 99th career title, and he claimed his 98th career title at the ATP Finals 2023 prior to that.

Jimmy Connors leads the list with 109 titles, followed by Roger Federer with 103 titles. While Djokovic had some injury woes in 2024, he bounced back rather quickly from the setbacks. Given his rather robust fitness, it wouldn't be surprising to see him break Connors' record down the line as well.

#2 - Novak Djokovic could hold the sole record for most Major titles won with his 25th Grand Slam triumph

Federer took the lead in the Grand Slam race after breaking Pete Sampras' record of 14 Major titles with his win at Wimbledon 2009. He further extended his lead to 20 Major titles following his victory at the Australian Open 2018.

Nadal and Djokovic managed to tie Federer after chasing him for their entire careers. The Spaniard surged ahead with his wins at the Australian Open and the French Open in 2022, and became the male player with most Major titles for the first time in his career.

The Serb managed to tie Nadal in 2023 with his Australian Open victory and broke the deadlock by winning the French Open a few months later. He further extended his lead among men with a win at the US Open that year as well. His coronation in New York marked his 24th Major title, which put him in a tie with Margaret Court.

Court won her final Major title at the US Open 1973, and held the all-time record for most Grand Slam titles won, male or female, since then. It took five decades for someone to match her, and now Djokovic has the opportunity to take over this record for himself. A 25th Major title would make this a peerless accomplishment, and a record that could possibly stand the test of time.

Djokovic is currently the only male player to have a triple Career Grand Slam. He achieved that feat with his title-winning run at the French Open 2023. He will have an opportunity to one-up his current achievement at the French Open 2025.

He would become the only man to do so if he's the last man standing in Paris once again, and would equal Steffi Graf, the only other player to do so in tennis history. While he has only three French Open titles, the fewest compared to his hauls at the other three Majors, he has been quite consistent there for years now.

Djokovic has lost prior to the quarterfinals of the French Open only twice in his career and has at least made the last eight every year since 2010. He has bowed out before the quarterfinal stage five times each at the Australian Open and the US Open, and four times at Wimbledon.

Nadal, who won a record 14 titles in Paris, often stopped the Serb in his tracks there. With him out of the way following his retirement this year, he will fancy his chances of nabbing another French Open crown given his record there and complete a quadruple Career Grand Slam.
