Barbora Krejcikova lifted her second Grand Slam singles title after beating Jasmine Paolini in the Wimbledon final on Saturday, July 14. The Czech overcame a second-set stumble to prevail 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.

However, this isn't her first glory at the All England Club. The Czech also has two Wimbledon doubles titles to her name.

She's now among a unique list of players to have won both the singles and doubles trophies at Wimbledon. While the number of top players choosing to play both has come down significantly since the turn of the century, Krejcikova is not the only player to have accomplished this feat.

Let's take a look at three players who have won both titles since 2000:

Krejcikova’s astounding run at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships saw her win as many matches in a fortnight as she had all year.

The Czech came into the tournament with an underwhelming 7-9 win-loss record this season. After battling past Veronika Kudermetova in a first-round tussle, she grew in confidence — beating Katie Volynets, Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, Danielle Collins and Jelena Ostapenko in straight sets.

Krejcikova then ousted former champion Elena Rybakina in three sets in the semifinal, before winning a topsy-turvy final against Paolini.

Her doubles titles — 2018 and 2022 — came with former partner and compatriot Katerina Siniakova.

Who better than one of Wimbledon’s most decorated champions to feature on this list?

Serena Williams lifted her first Venus Rosewater Dish in 2002, beating sister Venus in the final. She would go on to repeat the feat on six other occasions against an array of opponents: Venus again in 2003 and 2009, Vera Zvonerva in 2010, Agnieszka Radwanska in 2012, Garbine Muguruza in 2015 and Angelique Kerber in 2016 for her last crown.

Serena’s overall win-loss record at the Championships stands at a staggering 98-14, amounting for a winning percentage of 88%.

Her doubles success at the All England Club came before her singles titles. Serena and Venus won Wimbledon together on six occasions — four times in the same year as her singles wins.

Their first triumph came in 2000, a year when they took the field by storm. They beat Julie Halard-Decugis and Ai Sugiyama, Anna Kournikova and Natasha Zvereva, Mariaan de Swardt and Martina Navratilova, among others.

Wimbledon has always been a special place for Venus Williams, probaby even more so than for Serena. Unlike her younger sister who won her first Grand Slam title at the US Open, Venus did it at the All England Club.

The American lifted the singles trophy in 2000 after beating Lindsay Davenport in the final. The then 20-year-old had beaten the likes of Martina Hingis, Ai Sugiyama and Serena en-route to the title.

Venus made nine singles finals overall, winning on five occasions. She took on Serena in four out of the nine finals. The only time she was able to get past her sister was in 2008, winning in straight sets 7-5, 6-4.

Venus has a total of 90 total singles match wins at Wimbledon against just 19 losses. Williams' winning percentage thus stands at 83%, her best at a Grand Slam.

As mentioned earlier, Venus and Serena won the women’s doubles titles on six occasions between 2000 and 2016.
