The ATP World Tour is the topmost men's professional tennis circuit organized by ATP. The tour mainly consists of 5 types of tournaments, that are the ATP World Tour Finals, NextGen ATP Finals, 9 Masters 1000, 13 ATP World Tour 500 and 40 ATP World Tour 250. The Grand Slams, however, are conducted by the ITF.

If a player has gained many points from the ATP Challenger Tournaments then the player can play the bigger events and can, therefore, enter the ATP World Tour. A tennis player is said to be a successful player if he can play every tournament on the ATP World Tour.
