Having won the 2006 Paris-Bercy Masters and the 2008 Miami Masters titles, Nikolay Davydenko beat Rafael Nadal at Shanghai 2009 to lift his third Masters 1000 trophy.

The Russian, along with Jim Courier (5/5), are the only players in Masters 1000 history to have won multiple titles in the tournament category and never lost a final.

Davydenko is also the only player to beat Nadal three times in a tournament final without losing one. Having beaten the Spaniard at Miami 2008, he went on to beat him again at Doha 2010.

In 50 Grand Slam appearances, the Russian's best performances are a quartet of semifinal appearances - at 2005 and 2007 Roland Garros, and 2006-07 US Open.

Thomas Enqvist lifted his third and last Masters 1000 title at 2000 Cincinnati with a straight-sets win over Tim Henman. It was his first title of the season and the 17th of his career.

The Swede won his two previous titles in the tournament category at 1996 Paris-Bercy and 1999 Stuttgart.

Enqvist's best performance at a Grand Slam tournament came at the 1999 Australian Open, where he squandered a set lead before losing in four to Russia's Yevgeny Kafelnikov.
