World No. 33 Bublik will be playing his first event of the year and will be looking to get off to a winning start. On the other hand, Serbia's Kecmanovic played in Hong Kong last week, where he defeated Luciano Darderi before losing to the eventual champion Alexandre Muller in three sets.

Bublik won 25 out of 50 matches in 2024, whereas Kecmanovic managed to win 25 out of 55. The two will have their sights set on much improved runs in 2025.
