Madison Keys vs Liudmila Samsonova preview
Madison Keys and Liudmila Samsanova are unseeded at the tournament but have knocked out many big names on their way to the semifinals.
Liudmila Samsonova got off to a shaky start in the first round when she dropped the first set 1-6 to the qualifier Marie Bouzkova but made a comeback to win the following sets 6-4, 6-1.
In the second round against Belinda Bencic, the Russian was a break down at 4-3 in the deciding set but won the last three games to reach the quarterfinals, where she defeated the second seed Emma Navarro in straight sets.
Meanwhile, Madison Keys has been in supreme form as she brushed aside Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-2, 6-1 in the first round and then came back from one set down to beat the eighth seed Jelena Ostapenko 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the second round.
29-year-old Keys, who got married less than two months ago, then stunned the third seed Daria Kasatkina in the quarterfinal with a 6-1, 6-3 win.

Madison Keys vs Liudmila Samsonova prediction
Madison Keys has dominated her opponent in the last four meetings and has beaten better-ranked players in Adelaide this year. She also reached the quarterfinal at Auckland last week before losing to the eventual champion Clara Tauson. The American is thus expected to be the favorite going into the match and further gain momentum ahead of the 2025 Australian Open, where she will face compatriot Ann Li.
Samsonova came to Adelaide with a run that is unlikely to instill confidence in the Russian, as she has gone through a five-match winless streak. While she has had two great comebacks in the first two matches here and won convincingly against Emma Navarro, the 26-year-old will need to play out of her skin and hope the luck is on her side to snap the four-match losing streak against an in-form Madison Keys.
Pick: Madison Keys to win in three sets
