Marcos Giron vs Aleksandar Vukic preview
Marcos Giron will begin his 2025 season by taking on Australia's Aleksandar Vukic in the opening round of the 2025 Adelaide International. 2024 was a promising season for the American as he reached two finals at the Dallas Open and the Hall of Fame Open, winning his maiden career title at the latter.
Barring those two final runs, Giron also had decent semifinal runs at Antwerp and Delray Beach. However, the American player could not make a mark at the Majors, with a second-round appearance at the Wimbledon Championships being his best showing on the Grand Slam stage in 2024.
Meanwhile, Aleksandar Vukic had a modest campaign in 2024. The Australian reached the semifinals at the Almaty Open and the Eastbourne International. Barring those, his results did not inspire any confidence.
In 2025, Vukic began his season at the Brisbane International. He started well, securing a 6-2, 6-3 win over former Top 10 player David Goffin in the first round. However, in the next round, he lost 2-6, 6-7 (5) to defending champion Grigor Dimitrov.

Marcos Giron vs Aleksandar Vukic prediction
Keeping aside indoor hardcourts, Giron only had a 35 percent win ratio on outdoor hard courts. He did well in his home events at Delray Beach and Dallas, but could not make a mark on any other hard courts around the Tour. However, winning the maiden title will give the American much-needed confidence ahead of the new season.
Vukic, too, had a modest 42 percent win ratio on outdoor hard courts last year. While he did get a good win over Goffin at Brisbane, he failed to pose a challenge when playing against a higher-caliber opponent like Dimitrov.
Marcos Giron has the proven experience of winning a title on the Tour, which will give him the edge over Aleksandar Vukic.
Pick- Giron to win in straight sets.
