Sebastian Korda vs Miomir Kecmanovic preview
Second seed and 2023 finalist Sebastian Korda will take on Serbia's Miomir Kecmanovic for a place in the final of the 2025 Adelaide International.
Korda was midway through another respectable season on the ATP Tour last September when he unfortunately injured his right elbow, which required surgery. The American made his comeback in Adelaide this week and has looked as good as ever.
Having received a first-round Bye, the World No. 22 made quick work of Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the second round by a scoreline of 6-3, 6-3. He then received a walkover from local favorite Thanasi Kokkinakis in the quarterfinals to make it to the last four of the ATP 250 tournament.
Kecmanovic, meanwhile, will be hopeful for a reversal of fortunes at the Adelaide International. The Serb is ranked outside the top 50 ATP rankings and has faced difficulties in establishing himself on the main tour over the last few years.
The 25-year-old has made plenty of amends this week, though, reaching the semifinals of a tour-level event for the first time since the Stockholm Open in October 2023. He beat some impressive opponents like Alexander Bublik, Benjamin Bonzi and Christopher O'Connell en route to the last four in Adelaide.

Sebastian Korda vs Miomir Kecmanovic prediction
Korda is known for his big first serve and seamless groundstrokes from both wings. The 24-year-old can hit winners from virtually anywhere on the court, thanks to his long levers and explosive power. That said, the 6'5" American struggles when his opponents move him from laterally on the baseline.
Kecmanovic has better movement than his younger opponent and can hit just as well as the World No. 22 from the back of the court. He can also come up with some great angles during rallies, albeit with frustrating inconsistency.
The keys for both players in this match-up will be to stay inside the baseline and spread their shots evenly. Kecmanovic is much more comfortable with change of direction. This edge, coupled with Korda's poor movement, should give him respectable chances of winning their encounter in Adelaide.
Pick: Kecmanovic in two tight sets.
