In 2017, Kalinskaya made the switch from the ITF to the WTA Tour, and made her Grand Slam main draw debut at the 2018 Australian Open. Later in the year, Kalinskaya reached the main draw of the US Open, where she lost to Julia Gorges. The year 2019 proved to be rewarding for the Russian, as she made her first WTA semifinal, notched up her first top-10 win and made her debut in the world’s top-100.
After the pandemic and a string of injuries, Kalinskaya began her resurgence in 2022.
