Her best grand slam performance is recorded at the 2024 Australian Open, where she finished quarterfinalist. She registered win over top seed Jasmine Paolini and Sloane Stephens en route. Despite showing versatile performance on the court, she has yet to win any singles title in her career. However, she has won three WTA doubles titles as of January 2025, including the 2022 St. Petersburg Open with Caty McNally. At the onset of the 2025 season, she joined hands with Priscilla Hon and reached the final of the 2024 Brisbane International, where they lost to Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider.

The Russian began playing tennis when she was five years old, and turned pro in 2016. Kalinskaya hits flat groundstrokes, likes to engage in cross-court exchanges, and delivers a consistent serve. After a set of unfortunate injuries over the past few years, she will be looking to make massive strides in 2024.
