At the age of 25, Kalinskaya finally had her breakthrough at the 2024 Australian Open, making it to her maiden second week at a Grand Slam. Anna Kalinskaya turned pro in 2016. She has won three doubles titles so far, but is yet to capture a professional singles trophy. In 2017, Kalinskaya made the switch from the ITF to the WTA Tour, and made her Grand Slam main draw debut at the 2018 Australian Open. Later in the year, Kalinskaya reached the main draw of the US Open, where she lost to Julia Gorges.
