The storied resurgence of Roger Federer this year has been remarkable.The Swiss stepped on the court and carved out some trail-blazing history, breaking records at will and conquering the hearts of a billion fans.
But I fear to say that this might not be the same scenario in 2018, with some of the best in the sport making their comebacks. Also, since he will likely sit out of the clay season again, it will not be a surprise if he tumbles down from his current No. 2 ranking.
If he continues to stay healthy and away from injuries, he can most certainly still enjoy being comfortably ensconced inside the top 10. Battling with time has been the Swiss great's most striking ability, and it'll be interesting to see how much longer he continues winning that battle.
