The quarter-finals of the 2019 Australian Open will commence tomorrow, January 21, with the bottom half playing their matches.
In the first quarterfinal of the day, Greek sensation Stefanos Tsitsipas will take on Roberto Bautista Agut, who is yet to lose a single match this year.
Both players caused an upset in the fourth round, with Tsitsipas causing the much bigger one, knocking 20-time Grand Slam champion and 2-time defending champion Roger Federer out of the tournament. On the other hand, Bautista Agut defeated last year's runner-up and 6th seed Marin Cilic in 5 sets.
Agut has now won nine matches in a row since the beginning of the year. However, he has already played three 5-setters in the tournament so far, hence, he might be fatigued going into tomorrow's encounter against the 20-year-old Tsitsipas, who has won all four of his matches in four sets so far.
Tsitsipas and Bautista Agut have never played each other before and this will be their first ever meeting on a tennis court.
