Ranked No.98 in the world, Nagal has fond memories of playing in the Australian Open. After winning three matches in the Qualifiers, he defeated Alexander Bublik, who was ranked much higher than him, to make his way into the second round. Later, Nagal broke into the top 100 of the ATP rankings, after which he achieved his career-best ranking of 68 in July.
