Felix Auger-Aliassime will continue his Swiss Indoors title defense against World No. 50 Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in an enthralling second-round clash on Thursday, October 24. The winner could face Denis Shapovalov or Roberto Bautista Agut in the next round.

Auger-Aliassime has had a subdued season, entering Basel with a 31-24 match record. His best result this year was a runner-up finish at the Madrid Masters, his best-ever run at a Masters 1000 event. He last competed at the European Open in Antwerp, where he suffered a quarterfinal loss to eventual champion Roberto Bautista Agut.
