Top seeded pair of Rohan Bopanna(India) and Aiasm-ul- Haq- Qureshi(Pakistan) have reached in the doubles Quarterfinals of the ATP Tunis Open held in Tunisia. Their entry into the Quarterfinals came as a result of getting a walkover from the French pair of Theirry Ascione and Arnaud Clement in the first round.
The French players decided not to play the tournament as Clement got an elbow injury. Bopanna and Qureswhi will now play against the pair of Frederico Gil of Portugal and Marcelo Melo of Brazil to enter the semifinals.
Gil and Melo have defeated wild card pair of Reda-El-Amrani of Morocco and Malek Jaziri of Tunisia by 6-4, 6-o in the first round to enter the quarterfinals.
The prize money for the Tunis open which is a part of Association of Tennis Professionals(ATP) Challenger Tour is $ 125,000.
This tournament is played on red clay court of Tennis Club de Tunis in Tunis, Tunisia every year since its start in 2005.
