Casper Ruud, born on December 22, 1998, is a tennis player from Norway. He has won 12 ATP singles titles and has finished runner-up in three Grand Slam tournaments — the 2023 French Open, 2022 US Open, and the 2022 French Open. Ruud reached his highest singles ranking of World No. 2 on September 12, 2022, which is the best ranking ever for a Norwegian. He is known for being respectful and professional on the tennis court and received the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award in 2022.

Within the same match, he registered his 250th career win against Francisco Cerúndolo.
