Gandhi nagar club, one of the premier clubs in city is hosting the Dr.KCG Verghese Memorial-GNC ITF Mens Futures Tennis Tournament 2011. The main draw begins on April 25, 2011.
The event is sponsored by Hindustan University in memory of its founder Dr.KCG Verghese. The renowned educationist was one of the founding members of the club. They have been sponsoring the previous editions of this tournaments as well.
This leg of the Futures series in India has attracted a strong field with Danai Udomchoke being the highest ranked player in the draw. This edition has attracted 10 players in the top 600 in ATP and features all the leading lights from India in the domestic circuit as well. The Indian challenge is led by Karan Rastogi.
