She held the top spot in the world rankings for 260 weeks and won 18 major singles championships, including six US Open crowns and a joint-record seven French Open titles

Evert led the Women's Tennis Association between 1975–1976 and 1983–1991. She was awarded the Philippe Chatrier award and inducted into the Hall of Fame.
