Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic set to make IPTL debut in India

World No. 1 vs World No. 2 as Djokovic takes on Federer on day 3 of the Indian leg

The Coca-Cola International Premier Tennis League has made its way to India and the big news that everyone is excited about is that Swiss superstar Roger Federer is going to make an appearance for the Micromax Indian Aces.

In a press conference in Delhi today, the line-up for the six matches was announced and it featured another surprise for all tennis fans. Indian fans are likely to see a Federer vs Djokovic match on 8th December as the World No. 1 Serb is set to make his first appearance for the UAE Royals.

Federer is scheduled to appear on day 2 and day 3 of the three-day leg in India. The matches will be held in the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. Teaming up with Federer will be 14 time grand slam champion Pete Sampras, Frenchman Gael Monfils, Serbian Ana Ivanovic, Indians Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza and player-coach Fabrice Santoro.

The tournament has begun on a bullish note after drawing large crowds in both Manila and Singapore. The star studded list of players and an exciting new set of rules has drawn positive reactions from both the players and the crowds. The India leg is expected to carry on this positive trend.
