The world No.1 ‘s streak of consecutively 23 grand slam semi finals reached ended today as the Swiss fell to Robin Soderling‘s powerful ground strokes. The rain-marred match was delayed and caused quite some of the crowd to be unattending. But Soderling was blasting the ball all over the court from the start to the finish and kept Federer out of the play for most part of the match.With this win, Soderling avenged his last year’s final defeat at the hands of the same opponent and now poses a serious contention to the French Open.
