The Championships - Wimbledon 2012: Day Seven

Ad

Six-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer has a huge chance of making history by winning this year’s tournament at the All England Club.

Federer has not won a Grand Slam for the last two and half years. But after this year’s Wimbledon performance so far, people are hoping that this might be Federer’s Grand Slam.

Though it is excepted that he will face the number one seed Djokovic in the semi final, it will be a tough task to beat Federer, who is looking very strong in the tournament.

Federer won the fourth round’s match against Xavier Malisse by 7-6 (7/1), 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 to reach a 33rd successive Grand Slam quarter-final on Monday.

The 16 Grand Slam title holder is showing his magic on grass this season. After Nadal was knocked out of Wimbledon, the Swiss player has a huge opportunity to win and there is no doubt that the number three seed will face many difficulties to win, but he is familiar with this pressure.

If he qualifies for the semis, we will get a new number two seed in the form of FedEx. But Roger Federer will play for victory to win the grand slam.
