  Serena and Venus Williams last faced each other in a Slam final in 2009

  The Williams sisters encountered one other for the last time in a Grand Slam final at the 2009 Wimbledon. Venus was the two-time defending champion, and was expected to win it for the third consecutive year and become the first woman to win three successive titles here since Steffi Graf in the early Nineties.

• However, she lost to her sister Serena in the final 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 in a match that had a lot of sentiments and theatrics from both sides of the court.
