Roger Federer made light work of his round 4 opponent ,the 20th seeded Stanislas Wawrinka. At the end of the game, the scoreline said 6-3,7-6,6-2. Although Wawrinka looked damaging at times, he never really posed a serious threat to Federer except at one point in the second set which went to 7 games.Federer was at his usual elegant best and looks like a definite title defender, given the kind of form he is rollin on currently.
On the other side of tourney, its none other than his nemesis Rafael Nadal, who is turning heads with his sheer power and strokeplay. Having defeated former World No.1 Lleyton Hewitt in straight sets in Round 3, he looks and plays like a man possessed. Given his current run, it looks impossible to stop Rafa ,i.e.,until the finals, where odds say he is most probably going to meet his longtime nemesis. Of course, we have speculated before and been wrong entirely. But such is the game of clay court at Roland Garros. Stay tuned for live action from the French Open.
