French Open 2024 Day 3: Women's singles predictions ft. Victoria Azarenka vs Nadia Podoroska, Daria Kasatkina vs Magdalena Frech

Day 3 of the French Open 2024 will see the women's singles tournament end its opening round. Several top players will be in action, with Aryna Sabalenka facing Erika Andreeva while Elena Rybakina will face Greet Minnen.

Kasatkina will enter the clay-court Major after a third-round exit at the Italian Open while Frech lost in the second round of the Internationaux de Strasbourg. The Russian has won 17 out of 27 matches so far in the 2024 season while the Pole has triumphed in just eight out of 20 fixtures.

Kasatkina's relatively better run of form makes her the overwhelming favorite to win and she should be able to come out on top because of her superior quality on clay.

Mirra Andreeva has had some promising performances this season and will enter the match as the favorite to win. Given her talent, combined with Bektas' lack of victories on the WTA Tour, the Russian should have an easy run to the second round of the French Open.
