The exciting Tennis match finished with a double fault from Nieminen which was a bit disappointing for the viewers. Roddick heaved a huge sigh of relief and clenched his fist as soon as he secured victory.
Andy Roddick started the match on a great note breezing through the first set with typical elan before losing his way in the next two sets. But, staring a first round French Open exit brough about the best in Andy Roddick as he improved his much vaunted serve to conquer set four in a tie breaker. In the fifth and final set, Roddick managed to extract a early break of serve which eased matters for him. Finally, Nieminen could not hold his serve once again to hand Andy Roddick a well deserved victory. Roddick will be eyeing a good outing at the French Open to bolster his Wimbledon preparation after having not played competitive Tennis since March this year.
