Krueger heads into Guadalajara with a 26-22 singles match record on tour this season. While she has primarily found success in doubles alongside Sloane Stephens, her singles results have been drastically improving recently. During the North American hardcourt swing, she reached the third round in Toronto and the second round in Cincinnati after advancing through the qualifiers.

20-year-old Ashlyn Krueger continues to make a name for herself on the WTA tour with a strong run of results of late. She's played some of her best tennis on the hardcourts and it comes as no surprise that she's done well in the last few months. Her recent boost of confidence could very likely see her finish the season on a high given her big serves and powerful groundstrokes are only getting better with time.
In contrast, Tatjana Maria has struggled this year on the WTA tour, with just 15 wins from 37 matches. At 37, she is nearing the end of her career, and her recent hardcourt performances have been underwhelming. However, her run to the finals of the WTA 125 event should give her the confidence she needs heading into the final stages of the 2024 WTA season.
