Grass has been a surface where Eubanks has shown good results, especially in 2023. He bagged the title in Mallorca, defeating Adrian Mannarino, and had a breakthrough moment at the 2023 Wimbledon as he reached the quarter-final, before losing to Daniil Medvedev.
In the 2024 grass-court season, Eubanks suffered a first-round defeat at the hands of Brandon Nakashima at Stuttgart. At Halle, however, Eubanks has won a couple of impressive matches. He won against Pedro Martinez in the first round, but the second-round win was even more impressive. Eubanks took out defending champion Alexander Bublik in three tight sets in the second round.
Quarter-finals at the Open 13 and the Italian Open have been the best results for Zhang Zhizhen in 2024. He lost to Karen Khachanov and Alejandro Tabilo respectively. The Chinese player has yet to make an appearance in the final of any ATP event so far in his career.
Zhang has no credible pedigree on grass yet. The Chinese player made it to the main draw at Wimbledon in 2021 and is yet to go past the first round. He did reach the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne International last year, losing to Francisco Cerundolo.
