Brandon Nakashima vs Coleman Wong preview
Fourth seed Brandon Nakashima will take on Coleman Wong in the second round of the Hangzhou Open.
Nakashima has been one of the busiest players on the men's tour this year. He's chalked up 23 wins from 39 matches, including a semifinal run in the Stuttgart Open and a quarterfinal appearance in the U.S. Men's Claycourt Championships in Houston. He also captured a title in the Tenerife Challenger in January.
The American will enter Hangzhou on the back of a fourth-round exit in New York. Despite a spirited performance against Alexander Zverev, he was eliminated by the German in four sets, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2. The 23-year-old will be looking to get back to winning ways in Hangzhou.
Coleman Wong, meanwhile, has played most of his tennis on the ATP Challenger Circuit this year. He managed to enter the main draw in Miami and Newport, but couldn't navigate past the first round.
Wong entered Hangzhou on the back of a semifinal run in the Shanghai Challenger. He defeated Xiao Linang and Te Rigele in the qualifiers and then edged past Wu Yibing in the first round. Wong was handed the victory mid-way through the match as Yibing was forced to retire due to injury in the opening bout.

Brandon Nakashima vs Coleman Wong prediction
Brandon Nakashima has played close to 80 matches this season. He's starting to find his best form on the main tour and has chalked up encouraging results in Cincinnati and New York. The American is known for his resilient all-around game and effortless movement between the lines.
Wong, on the other hand, might adjust his game on the main tour. He is moving in the right direction with victory over talented players such as Cristian Garin and Sumit Nagal this year. The 20-year-old will only get better with time as he has a decent all-around game.
Considering their results at the highest level and experience on the main tour, Nakashima is the clear favorite to come out on top. The American also dominated his Davis Cup ties this month and is in sublime form on tour. He should be able to do business in Hangzhou and begin with a win.
Pick: Nakashima to win in straight sets.
