Holger Rune is a professional tennis player who is considered one of the best young players in the world. He is from Denmark and is ranked world No. 13 by the ATP as of December 2024. He started playing tennis at the age of six, as his sister was also playing tennis at that time. Since childhood, he has idolized tennis legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Rune achieved his career-high ranking of World No. 4 in August 2023 and became the highest-ranked Danish player in the history of the ATP. He has won four ATP singles titles as of December 2024, including the 2022 Paris Masters. He registered his 100th win at the 2024 Open Sud de France, defeating Pablo Llamas Ruiz in round 16. With the win, he became the second Danish player in the Open Era after Kenneth Carlsen to achieve such a milestone. He reached the semifinals of the Open Sud de France title, where he lost to Borna Coric.
