Jessica Pegula was given a wild-card entry into the US Open doubles in 2011. The tournament's third round saw her and her partner, Taylor Townsend, lose. She was given a wildcard for the Indian Wells tournament in 2012. She was able to enter the main draw, but she was defeated in the first round in three sets. At the 2015 US Open, Jessica Pegula earned a spot in her first Grand Slam singles competition. She won her first match before moving on to the main draw. Pegula climbed into the top 100 by 2018. Her ranking increased to #55 after she won the singles match at the Washington Open. She was ranked 76th in the world at the end of 2019.
