Hurkacz's biggest victory of the season came at the 2023 Shanghai Masters, defeating Andrey Rublev in the final. He also won the 2021 Miami Open, defeating Jannik Sinner in the final. Hurkacz's best performance in a Grand Slam was recorded at the 2021 Wimbledon, where he reached the semifinals.

Hurkacz started the 2025 season by reaching his second consecutive United Cup final, where Poland lost to the United States. At the 2025 ATP Rotterdam Open, he lost to Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinal by 4-6, 7-6, 3-6.

Is Hubert Hurkacz a vegetarian?

Yes, Hubert Hurkacz is a vegan.

According to the ATP Tour's official website, Hurkacz held a Q&A session in April 2020 about his vegan journey, where he spoke about his vegan food choices and meals.

Hubert Hurkacz admitted that recommendations and viewing educational food programs both played a role in his decision to become a vegan. He decided to keep up this nutritional modification as he started to feel better and have more energy.

When asked what his go-to meal is when he stays at home, Hubert admitted that while he doesn't have a lot of experience in the kitchen, he likes to make pasta with vegetables, tomato sauce, and occasionally a few nuts for lunch.

In response to a question about regional specialties, he said that while there are many options, he particularly likes Indian and Thai food. In particular, Pad Thai came out as a favorite.

Hubert acknowledged that, while he isn't a big fan of sweets, he does enjoy ice cream, particularly the vegan varieties that are available. When questioned about other types of food besides pasta, he mentioned how much he liked making burritos with guacamole and lots of vegetables.

Hubert reflected on his nutritional evolution and recalled that, as a child, he disliked salads and most vegetables, but as he grew older, he became adapted to and appreciative of them.

Regarding his diet on game days, he described his pre-game lunch, which consists of rice, vegetables, and tomato sauce and is consumed roughly two hours before a game. He uses bananas and dates as a rapid source of energy during games.

Hubert listed Shanghai as the greatest ATP Tour city for cuisine. He emphasized the availability of Austrian catering services, which lets players order a variety of cuisines.

When Hubert was asked who his ideal dinner companions would be, he jokingly mentioned Polish footballer Robert Lewandowski and tennis legend Roger Federer. However, after a funny pause, he revealed he was having trouble deciding on a third person.
