Former World No. 1 Karolina Pliskova is a Czech professional tennis player who is currently ranked No. 59 in the world by WTA. She held the World No. 1 spot for a total of eight weeks back in 2017. Pliskova has won 17 singles and five doubles titles on the WTA circuit as of February 2024, including the 2024 Transylvania Open, which is her first title in four years.

Finishing runner-up at five WTA 1000 events, Pliskova has won two WTA 1000 titles in her career, including the 2019 Italian Open and the 2016 Cincinnati Open. She became the sixth player on the WTA circuit to reach the semifinals of all four Grand Slam tournaments after Victoria Azarenka, Simona Halep, Kim Clijsters and Venus and Serena Williams.

Beyond her single success, Pliskova has proudly represented her country in various team competitions. She led her team to victory at the 2015, 2016 and 2018 Fed Cup. Known for powerful forehand and serve, she is an aggressive player who extracts errors from opponents.

Karolina Pliskova Grand Slams Won

Karolina Pliskova has yet to win any Grand Slam, as of February 2024. Her best grand slam performance includes finishing as a finalist at the 2021 Wimbledon Open and then again at the 2016 US Open. Pliskova was defeated by former World No. 1 Ashleigh Barty in the final of the 2021 Wimbledon Open.
