Ukrainian tennis talent, Marta Kostyuk, is ranked as high as No. 27 in doubles (achieved on May 8, 2023), and No. 16 in singles (achieved on June 17, 2024), as of December 2024. Her best performance in singles came during the 2024 Australian Open, in which she reached the quarterfinals. In doubles, she advanced to the semifinal of the 2024 French Open and the 2023 Australian Open with Elena Gabriela Ruse.

Kostyuk reached her second WTA 500 final at the 2024 Stuttgart Open by beating Marketa Vondrousova and Zheng Qinwen. She reached her maiden WTA 1000 semifinal at the 2024 Indian Wells, losing to Iga Swiatek. The Ukranian advanced to the final of the 2024 San Diego Open, where she lost to Katie Boulter in three sets (7-5, 2-6, 2-6).

Former Polish tennis player Sandra Zaniewska is the coach of Marta Kostyuk. Zaniewska participated in the ITF circuit, winning ten singles and seven doubles tournaments. She achieved her career-high ranking of No. 142 in singles on August 27, 2012. Zaniewska played her maiden debut match in the WTA circuit at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships. Previously, she coached Petra Martic and Alizé Cornet. Under the guidance of Zaniewska, Martic reached the fourth round of the 2018 Australian Open, the 2019 US Open, and the Wimbledon Championships.

Before Zaniewska, Marta Kostyuk was trained by her mother and former Ukrainian player, Talina Beiko.

As of December 2024, Kostyuk has won a solitary singles title and two doubles titles on the WTA circuit. She won her maiden WTA singles title at the 2023 ATX Open, defeating Varvara Gracheva in the final 6-3, 7-5. She lifted her first doubles title with Tereza Martincová at the 2022 Slovenia Open, registering a win over Cristina Bucsa and Tereza Mihalíková by 6-4, 6-0. At the 2023 Birmingham Classic, she and Barbora Krejčíková defeated Alycia Parks and Storm Hunter in the final.
